As you pointed out (on the wrong thread) Yes, but I'm lazy They worked quickly, when they started. I don't even remember seeing them do it, though I vaguely recall seeing a sign warning of temporary closure. The work on Horton Rd is taking a lot longer.

That crossing is a danger, and the sooner the road is sunk under the railway line the better. I think only Maxey has a longer waiting time (and that one is six lines - four are for the East Coast Main Line and the other two are Stansted Airport to Birmingham).
Incidentally, if the circuit is broken then the lights will stay on and the gates will stay down. There was an incident (I think it's on You Tube) of two members of the public getting trapped inside a crossing gate in Nottinghamshire. The train had to stay at the station until they were removed and then the train was allowed to proceed.
