13/01040/LBC | Installation of access ramp against existing building facade on front elevation with handrails on both sides. | Lloyds TSB 19 Eastgate Street Gloucester GL1 1NUAs well as my own comments, the members of the City Centre Community Partnership (perhaps I should say other members, since the CCCP doesn't bar non-residents from contributing, as the BTNP does, but welcomes anyone who wants to pitch in) have also expressed various views about this. There is a very strong feeling that whatever the rights or wrongs of altering the appearance of a very old building, for whatever reason, the rear disabled access which should make any new build redundant is simply not usable for many people because of the state of the road and pavement outside it. Hopefully something will be done about it. Going back to the BTNP, I should note that despite my own efforts while secretary, the partnership committee, even with Paul Harries on board, make no effort to keep residents informed about planning applications that may concern them, and for the most part just sit like dogs in a manger, while the council/s and various other agencies do all the real work, however fitfully. If only they, the committee, could be half as responsive as the CCCP
