"He's been tanning niggers out in Timbuktu, now he's coming back to do the same to you" (one minute in)
It's funny how some words are demonised in retrospect, when they used to cause no offence in the past. It's as if new ways to show us how awful people were have to found, even invented if necessary, to keep moral outrage sufficiently stoked up. Fair enough, let's never forget what was done to people for no better reason than the colour of their skin being different, but this word has been made into a 'trigger' for a disproportionate level of protest that only perpetuates racial conflict.

Are they going to ban Oliver's Army for having the term 'white niggers' in it, or is that still deemed acceptable?
The word cunt was perfectly normal and not at all offensive when it was used in the thirteenth century. Apparently, it became offensive some time around the seventeenth century. Once a word becomes offensive, there simply has to be another word or term brought into use to mean the same thing, hence pussy, front bottom and minge.
There will come a time when other terms for sub-Saharan Africans become as offensive as nigger. Even negro is apparently now considered offensive.

Indeed, 'kuffar' is a word regarded by many as a derogatory term used my Muslims to describe non-Muslims, but when I challenged someone on an Islamic forum (long since out of commission, nowt to do with me, I'm sure) for using it, he said it 'simply' meant someone who is not a Muslim. Personally, I do think that words have as much power over us as we are prepared to allow them, and it's only children who shouldn't be expected to take such matters so lightly, since they are more emotional at that age, still learning to cope with the concept of prejudice, and often unable to just walk away. The most recent controversies, though, including (deliberate?) confusion between race and religion, have shown us that political correctness has not just gone mad, but in many cases, bad as well.
