'Chance to quiz police hopeful
QUESTIONS can be put to candidate hoping to become police Gloucester Police and Crime Commissioner at a coffee morning next month.
Conservative candidate Victoria Atkins will be speaking to the public on October 6th.
Those wanting to question the 36-year-old barrister will have to pay £3 to go along to the event.
The charge will cover the cost of refreshments and venue hire, with profits going to the Cheltenham branch of the political party.
It takes place from 10:30am to midday at Emmanuel Church Hall in Fairfield Parade, Leckhampton.

I'm not sure it's so terrible to want to cover the cost of putting on an event. Then again, I'm also not sure how well the public are going to take to being asked to pay to attend, and whether it might not turn out to be an embarrassing no-show. I suspect the Gloucestershire Conservatives will be getting a lot of questions about this, and they won't be getting paid for those...
